Oliver Rathbun 1Cause of his death was Killed in Action. Noted events in his life were: • Military: French And Indian War, 1759. 2 3 His name appears on a muster roll in April 1759, in the company of Captain Isaac Barr in Suffolk County, New York. He was described as five-feet, seven-inches tall with light eyes. He died in service later that year, for his will was probated at Exeter in September. Three months later, his family received his "shoes, shirt, jacket, britches, stockings, drawers and knapsack" and a substantial amount of cash. |
